Moissac
The church of St Hilaire at Moissac in the Cantal, Auvergne, France, is unique - with it's width greater than it's length.
In the cemetery which surrounds the church the tomb exists still of a pilgrim who perished here on the Chemin St Jacques /
Way of St James, the medieval pilgrim way to the shrine of St Jacques / St James at Santiago de Compostella in northern
Spain. Here also is a celtic cross, with a male figure on one face and a female figure on the opposite face.
Another similar early stone cross stands beside the lane just a few hundred metres below the village.
