Pons

Pons, 19km south of Saintes in the Charente-Maritime, France, welcomes pilgrims following the Way of St James - le Chemin St Jacques to the shrine of St James at Santiago de Compostella in northern Spain.

When we visited, en route from Talmont on the Gironde estuary (approx 30km west) to the dolmen at Fort sur le Né (approx 20km east) the setting sun and approaching storm clouds created an atmospheric light show.
