Souillac

Souillac, on the banks of the Dordogne river in the Lot, SW France, is a staging point for pilgrims following the Chemin St Jacques / Way of St James pilgrim route to the shrine of St James at Santiago de Compostella in northern Spain.

Approx 25km SW of Souillac is the shrine of the black madonna at Rocamadour. Martel is 15km east.
